Membership
There are two classifications of members:
- Social Members may attend the Club’s monthly social meetings, however, they may not vote in any elections. Social Members pay the same rate as the general public for major club events. Social Membership is free and open to everyone of legal drinking age, as long as they follow these Guidelines & Rules of Conduct.
- Full Members receive a membership upon payment of dues as outlined herein. They are entitled to all the benefits of Social Membership. They are also invited to attend monthly business meetings and to vote on certain matters at those meetings. Full Members will receive a discounted rate to major club events. They will additionally receive certain exclusive benefits, some of which are described herein.
Dues
Dues will be set at $24 per annum per member. Couples can qualify for a discounted rate of $40 per annum per couple. A couple shall be defined as two individuals cohabiting. If additional members of the same household wish to join, they may receive a discounted membership of $20 per annum. Dues are due at the January meeting and considered late at the March meeting. Dues will need to be paid before a member can participate in any vote. Delinquent Members will be reduced to Social Membership until their dues are brought current. If an individual or couple new to the club wishes to become a full member after March they may be entitled to have their dues prorated for the rest of that calendar year. This only applies to an individual or couple during their first year of membership and applies to Social Members as well as Full Members. Full Members shall pay dues (cash or check only) at a regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Club. At that time they will be granted full membership, valid through February of the following calendar year. Checks should be made out to Delta Brew Club and may be submitted in person or mailed to Club President and/or treasurer.
Benefits of Full Membership
One of the primary benefits of membership in Delta Brew Club is the opportunity to interact with fellow brewing enthusiasts, which is open to Social and Full Members alike. However, many of the Club’s activities and resources require money, time, or effort, and so certain benefits are restricted to Full Members.
